"There is no other place on earth even remotely like New Orleans. Don't even try to compare it to anywhere else." - Anthony Bourdain
Discover the other side of NOLA in what we think is the best neighborhood with the most to do outside of the touristy French Quarter. Clean, quiet, safe, friendly, and central to almost anywhere you'd want to go in New Orleans. Admire the lavish mansions in the Garden District, hop aboard a historic streetcar on Saint Charles, or spend a day exploring all that Magazine Street has to offer.

THE HOUSE
Located just a few blocks from legendary destinations like Tipitina's, Lafayette Cemetery No. 1 and Commander's Palace, this “shotgun" double is quintessential New Orleans. It was thoughtfully renovated to be more private (unlike traditional shotgun homes), which means you no longer have to walk through one bedroom to get to another, to get to the kitchen, and so on. Soaring 13 foot ceilings, 100 year old hardwood floors, exposed fireplaces, bargeboard walls and cypress wainscot ceilings make you feel like you’re living in a boutique hotel. Free street parking available in front of the house.

LIVING ROOM
Vintage and modern collide to create a cozy, yet work-friendly/bright space. YouTube TV subscription provided with Roku so you can enjoy your favorite shows.

KITCHEN & DINING
Equipped with everything you need to prepare meals. Just off the kitchen is a full size washer and dryer for your convenience. The right side unit has a 100+ year old, original condition, high-back sink that was rescued from a house in Mid-City after Hurricane Katrina. The left side unit is adorned with reclaimed wood and custom mosaic tiles.

BEDS & BATH
Both bedrooms are furnished with a queen bed and nightstand. The primary bedroom has a walk-in closet with extra storage, TV with Amazon Firestick (YouTube TV subscription), and a private bathroom with shower/tub combo. The secondary bedroom has an open concept closet and full bath just down the hall (with shower stall). Extra pillows, sheets and blankets can be found in the closets and dresser.

OUTDOORS
Enjoy a cup of coffee on the front porch while friendly neighbors walk by with their dogs. The backyard is a work in progress - future plans include installing a fence to create separate spaces for each unit. **Currenlty, both the porch and backyard are shared spaces with our long-term tenant.**

SAFETY & SECURITY
The Irish Channel is a subset of the highly revered Garden District of New Orleans. For peace of mind, there are security cameras at the front of the house, down the side, and in the backyard, as well as deadbolts on all doors. Guests are given a unique code for entering the house, which expires after each stay.
